Where is Bligh & Guy Wedding Visuals based?

Both Danny & Tim are from Nottinghamshire. But we don’t just capture weddings in and around the Nottinghamshire area. We have been up and down the UK for weddings and it’s great to be able to meet couples and visit venues everywhere.

We want photo & video for the prep in the morning, how do you do that?

The unique thing about us is that we are both photographers and videographers! We have done both since first owning a camera and shoot both photo and video throughout the whole day. There are points where one of us will take the lead over either photo or video but not quality is spared.

How much is the retainer to complete the booking?

All bookings require a non-refundable retainer to be paid to complete the booking. The amount of this is £750 for either the ‘Bligh’ or ‘Guy’ package & £1000 for the ‘Bligh & Guy’ package. The remainder of the payment plus any additional costs will be invoice to you before the date of the wedding and can be paid up to 2 weeks prior to the wedding date.

Is there a photo limit (or do you provide a certain amount of photos) in any of the photography packages?

No, there is no photo cap in any of our packages. We will take as many photos as needed to capture every inch of your day for you to remember. We provide 600+ to all new bookings but we only ever deliver photos that we are 100% happy with and we never want to take photos of just anything to meet a certain amount. The thing we say to every couple is, “the more special moments that are in your day, the more photos you will receive”.

Do you use flashes and/or constant lighting?

We prefer not to if we can get away with it. Natural light always looks better than artificial light and artificial lights can be rather large in size and get in the way. In addition to that, if you are wanting a dimly lit wedding ceremony the last thing you want is a bunch of lights to make the room really bright, it takes away from the atmosphere that you want. But if there are times when there just isn’t enough light, flashes and/or constant lighting may be the only option to ensure quality.

Do you provide any of the raw/original photos/videos that you take?

No. Only the footage and photos that meet our quality expectations will be released to our clients. This is to ensure that the couples only get the best out of Bligh & Guy Wedding Visuals.

Do you keep any of the files and photos should me and my partner lose our copy?

We do indeed. We understand that the unthinkable can happen at times and the last thing we want is for our couples to lose their special memories. Due to this, we agree to keep all of the final photos & video files for 2 years from the wedding date.

We are having our wedding outside of the United Kingdom but we want Bligh & Guy Wedding Visuals to be part of it!

That is fine with us! The price for a destination wedding can vary so it is impossible to put a price on our website. This is due to the logistics are traveling to and from your wedding but we always try and keep costs to a minimum. How much do you charge in expenses to travel to each wedding?

It is based on where the wedding is located and how much driving is required from us to complete the wedding day. We try and keep our prices as low as they can be and unfortunately the way we are able to do that is by charging on a case-by-case (or shall we say ‘wedding-by-wedding’) basis.

Do you offer wedding albums in any of your packages?

No we do not. We have looked in to supplier of wedding albums that we would be happy to work with and unfortunately we are yet to find one that will deliver the quality at the price that would be satisfying for our couples. But we do supply all of the images from the wedding day so all of our couples are able to design and create their own albums should they wish.
